MCC Small Business Recovery Grant Distribution: Delmonico’s

Last week the Manhattan Chamber hosted a visiting delegation of executives from national corporations who wanted to see first hand the effects from Sandy. MCC organized a full morning visiting the Downtown Alliance who led us on a walking tour of the South Street Seaport area. The delegates also heard from the owner of Delmonico's, South Street Seaport Museum Director, Con Edison, Accion and NY Grant & Co. MCC presented an MCC Small Business Recovery Grant to Joe Turcinovic of Delmonico's who told of post Sandy challenges and what it took to reopen. Clients are just now beginning to filter back into the area, having themselves, been shut out of their offices and businesses.

Closed for 15 days due to loss of damages, power, heat, phones, internet and supplies, they will put the grant towards paying costs to repair damages.
Joe Turcinovic, co-owner Delmonico's and Ann Kayman, MCC's Board Member and CEO of NY Grant & Co.
